The stake will be acquired from the Japanese financial services company ORIX Corporation. After the deal, AM Green will hold a 25 per cent stake in Greenko. The transaction forms part of AM Green’s broader strategy to strengthen its upstream integration with Greenko, which operates more than 10,000 MW of renewable and pumped storage projects in India. Additionally, as part of this transaction, ORIX has agreed to invest in a convertible note issued by AM Green (Luxembourg) S.à.r.l, the parent company of AM Green. This investment will offer ORIX long-term exposure to green hydrogen, green ammonia, sustainable aviation fuel, and other emerging green molecules, in alignment with its capital recycling strategy.
