Electric Hydrogen Designs Electrolyzer Plant for Green Wilhelmshaven Project

Electric Hydrogen obtained an exclusive contract to design Uniper’s 200-MW electrolyzer plant, enabling large-scale electrolysis for the Green Wilhelmshaven project in Northern Germany. Uniper’s project features large-scale electrolysis to produce green hydrogen and an ammonia import terminal. Electric Hydrogen will build the electrolyzer at Uniper’s former coal-fired power plant, while the ammonia import terminal is planned for construction near the first LNG terminal in north Wilhelmshaven. In October 2024, the company began the pre-FEED work for the project.
