Germany has initiated a market consultation for a groundbreaking €400 million [$440 million] bilateral green hydrogen tender with Canada, facilitated by the innovative H2Global mechanism. The two nations have committed €200 million [$220 million] each, aiming to bridge the cost gap between green hydrogen production and consumer affordability. This joint tender will involve procuring renewable fuels of non-biological origin (RFNBOs), specifically green hydrogen and its derivatives produced in Canada for consumption in Germany.
