Spanish energy giant Repsol is advancing plans for a major green hydrogen buildout, confirming it will take final investment decisions (FIDs) on three large-scale electrolyser projects totalling 350MW of capacity by mid-2026. Speaking on the company’s Q2 2025 earnings call, CEO Josu Jon Imaz stated that FIDs are expected by the end of this year for two 100MW facilities in Cartagena and Bilbao, with a 150MW electrolyser in Tarragona scheduled for decision in the first half of 2026.
