Vattenfall has been awarded a significant subsidy to advance its green hydrogen production project in Eemshaven, as part of a wider €700 million [$760 million] national initiative to scale up sustainable hydrogen across the Netherlands. The funding, granted under the OWE scheme, supports projects that close the cost gap between fossil and renewable hydrogen, prioritizing those with the lowest subsidy need per megawatt.
