In June 2020, with the National Hydrogen Strategy (NHS), the Federal Government presented for the first time a strategy for achieving the goals of its hydrogen policy. The NHS laid down a coherent framework for action for the future production, transport and use of hydrogen and its derivatives, including the relevant research, innovations and investments. Phase 1, the start of the market ramp-up, which is described in the NHS, has now been successfully implemented on the basis of the measures planned. The National Hydrogen Council has supported the work carried out by the Federal Government in an advisory capacity.
